Password Expiry
The Password Expiry feature allows organizations to enforce a system‑wide policy requiring users to update their passwords after a defined number of days. This supports stronger security practices, such as ensuring only authorized individuals retain access and aligns with regional or organizational IT policies. As long as the account is active, users will be prompted to create a new password upon log in after the set number of days (Preference: NumberOfDaysBeforePasswordsExpire).
Account Expiry
In Region Administration - Accounts are set to expire if there has been no activity for a set number of days. This is set under preferences: DaemonAccountExpiryInDays.
Expired users will get an error message upon attempting to login stating that their account has expired due to inactivity. Users can request reactivation of their expired accounts (No LRA authorization is required). Their previous passwords will work upon reactivation or they can use the forgot password option (if available), or call in for a password reset.
In User Management, expired accounts will show with EXP next to user. If shows as DEA - must reach out for authorization to reactivate or have LRA send in request for account reactivation.
To reactivate expired account: Search user, switch on Enabled toggle and save.
